EcoFlow Delta 2 Max: High
EcoFlow has launched a new power station that not only wants to score with pure power, but also endurance and durable technology. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max can be expanded up to 6,144 Wh thanks to the modular approach. Thus, you should not only be able to enjoy a reliable power supply when camping. In your own four walls, the mobile energy storage unit should also be able to act as an emergency power solution without any problems.
There was much rejoicing among the community when it was announced that EcoFlow would be relying on LiFePO4 batteries for its Delta 2 (test). This is not really surprising given the longevity of this technology. It's not without reason that more and more power station manufacturers are doing away with now dusty lithium-ion batteries for their energy storage devices. These may offer shorter charging times and be lighter. However, they are not as good in terms of endurance and safety. However, if you are planning a rather expensive expenditure like a power station, you will pay attention to exactly that. EcoFlow also relies on LiFePO4 for the Delta 2 Max. And the manufacturer also emphasizes this.
Thus, the modern battery technology of the latest power station is said to provide a service life of up to 10 years. The calculation, which the company opens thereby, sounds quite comprehensible. It is supposed to last 3,000 charging cycles until the Powerstation experiences a loss of maximum capacity by 20 percent. Comparable rivals with lithium-ion technology have already reached this loss after 500 cycles. In doing so, the company apparently makes up for a known disadvantage of some LiFePO4 devices. For example, the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max offers an in-house fast charging technology called X-Stream.
Using household power outlets, the 2,048 Wh power station with a maximum output of 2,300 watts can be charged from 0 to 100 in just 81 minutes. In comparison, the Delta 2 can only be charged with 1,200 watts. The FOSSiBOT F2400 (test), which is also 2,048 Wh, offers just 1,100 watts at its peak. Within 53 minutes, the Delta 2 Max can then be charged from 0 to 80 percent. The use of a suitable solar panel is worthwhile when staying outdoors. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max can then be charged with a very good 1,000 watts with the help of this. It then takes 2.3 hours to fully charge the mobile energy storage unit. The process is particularly fast when AC and solar power are combined. Here, under optimal solar conditions, the power station can be charged within just 43 minutes.
But EcoFlow has placed great emphasis not only on input power, but also on output power. The AC output brings it to a power of 2,400 watts. However, this is only the possible constant power. If the power station goes into its X-Boost mode, a maximum of 3,100 watts should be possible. Thus, it will also be suitable for operating power-hungry tools on the construction site. According to the manufacturer, the mobile energy storage unit can supply up to 13 devices with power at the same time. So especially for van life and an outdoor weekend, the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max is the perfect power source.
Despite the high power, the power station is said to operate pleasingly quietly. With an output power of less than 500 watts, the noise level is said to be just 30 dB maximum. This means it can also be used comfortably at home. A weight of 23 kg roughly corresponds to that of equally sized competitors like the FOSSiBOT F2400 or the AlphaESS BlackBee 2000 (test). This makes it no lightweight, of course. But it can be carried over shorter distances without any problems. The two carrying handles make it easier to transport.
We don't have to wait much longer for the large-format Powerstation to hit the stores. Starting May 31, the expert for modern energy solutions plans to sell its powerful storage unit in its own online shop and via Amazon. For the Powerstation alone, the manufacturer is calling for an MSRP of 2,099 euros. If the capacity of 2,048 Wh is not enough, you can buy a suitable additional battery at a price of 1,499 Euros. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max will also be offered in a bundle. Those who opt for the combination package with a 400-watt solar panel can buy it for a total of 2,899 Euros.
