These three new power stations offer a variety of ports and capacities for outdoor enthusiasts.

Not every portable power station is light enough to carry while also offering a decent amount of energy storage capacity. Some are so heavy you can't really call them portable, while others are more accurately called power banks -- they just let you charge devices with USB cables. Schneider Electric's new Schneider OffGrid series offers a range of size that are all light enough to travel while also having a variety of ports.

There are three Schneider OffGrid portable power station units to choose from: Schneider OffGrid 330, 500 or 730.

Energy storage capacity ranges from 332 to 738 watt-hours and power output ranges from 300 to 700 watts. Each power station has a variety of power outlets, including standard AC wall outlets, USB-A, USB-C and DC. There's also a wireless charging pad on top.

Here's a closer look at the specs:

When you need to charge up, you can plug your power station into a wall outlet or your car, or you can connect it to one of Schneider's portable solar panels. The 330 model supports up to 100 watts of solar charge, while the 500 and 730 models can support up to 200 watts.

Each power station model has the same warranty -- 500 cycles or two years. As you drain and recharge your battery, it completes a cycle. The amount of cycles a battery is warranted for gives you a good indicator of its lifespan. In this case, Schneider is estimating its power stations will last about two years. The warranty includes coverage for repairs and replacement of the unit.

Portable power stations can be useful for a lot of reasons, from helping you through a blackout to powering your gadgets while camping. For more, check out CNET's list of our favorite portable power stations.
